Outlanders For The Faith: Church History Conference at HTC
We're gearing up for our next Church History Conference here at HTC. It'll be a fascinating time with Dr Nick Needham, Dr Alistair Wilson, Professor Donald Meek, Dr Bruce Ritchie, Dr Elizabeth Ritchie, and Dr Alasdair MacLeod.
Join us at Highland Theological College for a Church History Conference titled 'Outlanders for the Faith' over 2 days from the 29th-30th of April.
Lunch will be provided, and books will be available for purchase. This will be a brilliant time of engaging with some thought-provoking topics, the programme is as follows:
- Monday Afternoon 2pm: Dr. Nick Needham ‘Every Minister ought to know that book: John McLeod Campbell and ‘The Nature of the Atonement.’
- Monday Afternoon 3.30pm: Dr. Elizabeth Ritchie ‘'The English thrusting out the Gaelic': the attitude of the Evangelical Gaelic schools to language, 1811-1872.’
- Monday Evening at Dingwall Free Church 7.30pm: Open Public Lecture: Professor Donald Meek ‘Gaelic Spiritual Poets and the Natural World: Dugald Buchanan, Peter Grant, and Duncan MacLean'.
- Tuesday Morning 10am: Dr. Alasdair MacLeod 'The Covenanters and the Glorious Revolution, 1688-90'
- Tuesday Morning 11.30am: Dr. Alistair Wilson ‘Cultivating a global perspective: The significance of Andrew F Walls for Scotland’s engagement with World Christianity’
- Tuesday Afternoon 2pm: Dr. Bruce Ritchie ‘James Clerk Maxwell and the 1859 Aberdeen Revival.’
